5 Places You Must Visit If You Live In NJ

Welcome to New Jersey, here are a few must-sees:

1. Paulinskill Viaducts

This place is definitely a form of art; from the graffiti to the actually shape of it this place is really cool. You do need a good sneaker to be able to actually get to it though. You hike up a rather large incline to get to the top and then have to fit through a tiny hole to be able to get down. You might end up getting a little muddy but I think the view is definitely worth it.

2. Duck Donuts

Although this amazing donut shop originated in North Carolina it luckily found its way up to NJ. There is a store located in Middleton and soon to be in Bridgewater. Once you try one of these delicious doughnuts the store brand will never taste the same. You fill out a sheet when you arrive with various choices of icings and toppings. All doughnuts are made to order and literally any combination made is delicious. For example a doughnut with maple icing and bacon on top is out of this world. There is also a special doughnut of the day that varies daily. Definitely worth a try.

3. Paterson Great Falls

You have to see the beautiful waterfall for yourself. It is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen. People call it the Niagara Falls of New Jersey. Obviously the Paterson Falls are much smaller but they still bring a great sight to see.

4. The Bagel Nook

Not to keep talking about food but this place is out of this world. Their speciality is over loading bagels with the most delicious things. Try a Oreo flavored bagel with Oreo cream cheese and actual Oreos put on top. If you're an Oreo lover like me then that sounds AH-MAZ-ING. I unfortunately haven't been able to visit yet myself but I have heard the most outstanding feedback from a few of my friends. The picture below was taken by Carina Pizzano who said that the bagel was something called the Oreo Blast and was definitely worth the drive to get it.

5. Blue Mountain Lakes

Yet another amazement that you must see for yourself. There are many different things you could do if you went to visit the lakes. There are a plentiful of hiking trails that make for amazing views and sites. You will most likely run into some wildlife if you go on one of the trails like any normal hiking adventure in NJ. If you're not into hiking you can park your car and go swimming in the lakes or bring your kayak or fishing pole. There are so many entertaining things to do in nature is this is definitely the right place to do them.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
