Best Places To Cry On Le Moyne's Campus

It's OK to cry. It's the end of the semester and you probably have six papers, two presentations, two projects, and five finals and you're only getting two hours of sleep a night. Maybe you and your friends are all so stressed that your friendship may not be working out. Maybe your mom is complaining because you're not calling home often enough. But, it's OK, because we all understand you.

However, crying can be difficult since you don't know when the mental breakdown is going to happen. Sometimes, all you need is to tear up a little between classes, or even cry out loud at night for hours. Whether you need a small cry or an all out sob-fest, these are the best places to cry on Le Moyne's campus. Try them out and find the perfect place for you to cry that satisfies your needs!

1. The cafeteria.

Pros: You can eat as much as you want!
Cons: Requires a meal plan.

2. St. Ignatius' Statue.

Pros: You won't feel so lonely. If you want to hide, there are bushes near the statue.
Cons: Good weather is not guaranteed.

3. Second Floor of Noreen Reale Falcone Library.

Pros: You can either go to the back where no one comes or use the private study room!
Cons: It gets busy during the finals week.

4. Simon's Pub.

Pros: Sometimes they have a $1 beer and they serve food. Tipsy people won't judge you and bartenders will listen to you.
Cons: Requires you to be over 21 to purchase alcohol. Though, they have free soda!

5. PAC voice lesson rooms.

Pros: The walls are made thick so you can cry as loud as you want!
Cons: Rooms are usually busy during the day.

6. Gifford Terrace.

Pros: It is a beautiful space with not much traffic!
Cons: Good weather is not guaranteed.

7. Dablon Basement.

Pros: It has a comfortable couch, a TV and pretty painting of ocean creatures.
Cons: Some residences of Dablon might come with a big group of people.

8. Top of Science Addition.

Pros: Beautiful view at night and not crowded. It is located near the den so if you get hungry, you can easily go get food.
Cons: Do not come here if you are afraid of heights.

9. Panasci Family Chapel.

Pros: You can pray in this beautiful chapel that might actually make you feel better.
Cons: You must be careful not to disturb other people there.

10. Dolphy Den near the exit in the back.

Pros: Because some commuters use the space to study, hang out and take naps, the place is very cozy.
Cons: It has a high population.

11. Second Floor of Science Addition.

Pros: An area that not many people hang out and it has a modern and beautiful design.
Cons: The sound echoes so you must cry quietly.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
