Oh what a day it was, May 30, 2003. I had just finished my last day of second grade. As I got home, my mom was waiting for my sister and I, and we went to see "Finding Nemo" on its opening day.
To this day that movie remains in my Top Five. Those around my age are very familiar with the magic of Pixar, especially their work released when we were in elementary or middle school, such as "The Incredibles," "Monsters Inc.," "Ratatouille" and "Cars."
Pixar creates memorable work that most any parent would show their kid. That is what makes them stand out. The worlds are intriguing, as are the storylines.
Pixar seems to have developed with the generation of students most likely reading this article. They have kept up with subjects that most studios would not even want to touch, such as: a 78-year-old man going on an adventure with a young boy and dog, a rat making food, suburban marital life or the mind of a young girl.
Their comedy has been something that everyone can enjoy. If you do not like one movie, you probably like another. They use well known names, like Ellen DeGeneres as Dory, without flaunting it in their advertisements and trailers.
They have managed to enrapture a whole generation even without song—there are no Pixar musicals. They create intriguing pieces with their story and animations that are much slower than other studios such as The Walt Disney Company. Facets of their stories have been elaborated, adding much more to the plot. However, they have sped it up if they needed to.
As our generation grows, we want aspects of our childhood to grow with us, leaving us wanting more of what we once loved so much.
While we were tweeting about and secretly hoping for sequels to many favorites, Pixar was already imagining, dreaming and creating. They got the ball rolling with "Cars 2" in 2011, followed closely by "Monsters University" in 2013.
Though they have filled in that time with original stories, Pixar gave us release dates of sequels, yet there are a couple of years in-between them! If you are anything like me, this list of four movies with give you chills:
"Finding Dory" - US Release Date: June 17, 2016
Everyones favorite blue fish returns with Nemo, Marlin, and possibly some old—and definitely new— friends as she searches for answers to the past that she probably won't remember.

Pixar is holding out on us.
"Toy Story 4" - US Release Date June 15, 2018

So, my Pixar-loving, sequel-craving comrades, I invite you to stand with me. I invite you to stand with me in the fight against the young children to claim what is rightfully ours...access to these films.
