1. Las Palmas Carniceria

There is no better place to get cheap, fresh, and authentic Mexican street tacos than Las Palmas. Located outside a Mexican grocery store on Brookline Boulevard, this taco stand serves up a choice of freshly cooked meat on homemade corn tortillas, with your choice of self-serve toppings including a variety of spicy salsas for only $2.50 each. While you are paying inside the colorful grocery store, be sure to stock up on some other Mexican specialties, and enjoy your tacos with a cold Jarritos soda.

This popular taco spot has brought the southern California vibe to the cultural district with south of the border force. täkō serves up a variety of unique tacos, such as the popular grilled octopus taco and margaritas that are made with fresh, bright ingredients. 3. Smoke BBQ Taqueria

This unique Lawrenceville spot brings together tacos and barbecue to create a variety of delicious dishes. From the burnt ends taco with wagyu beef brisket and coffee barbecue sauce, to the chicken apple with jalapeño mayo, Smoke serves up over 10 delicious taco choices. Each taco is made on homemade buttermilk tortillas with your choice of side, including classic barbecue sides like mac and cheese and housemade spicy pickles. Start your meal at Smoke with one of its five queso varieties, and a $5 cocktail. Smoke will keep you coming back time and time again to try a different barbecue dish.

4. Casa Reyna

This rustic restaurant and bar is located under the Reyna Foods authentic Mexican grocery store in the heart of the Strip.
