I made a personal goal to get out of my room more and spend time in the city I love and live in. It seems my friends don't have a problem with this goal considering it has taken the form of our favorite type of caffeine. Every Sunday my friends and I hope on the bus and head to a new local coffeehouse. Here are 15 Pittsburgh coffee places to try!

1. 61C Cafe

Not sure if I love this one for the coconut macaroons, the people, the outside seating, or just the coffee.

2. The Commonplace Coffeehouse

A bit intimidating, so this is a get s*** done coffeehouse.

3. Adda Coffee & Tea House

They have an adult chocolate milk with coffee that is exactly what you don't expect it to be and more.

4. Redhawk Coffee

Conveniently located on Pitt's campus.

5. Big Dog Coffee

Such a happy and homey place!

6. Constellation Coffee

I love this place a latte.

7. Delanie’s Coffee

Two floors of really cute places to sit and sip coffee.

8. Arriviste Coffee Bar

A very modern and beautifully blue coffee spot.

9. Zeke’s Coffee

Zeke's is also close to target which is a win in literally every way.

10. 21st Street Coffee and Tea

I 100% recommend a cappuccino!

11. Beehive Coffee

The more color, the better the coffee?

12. La Prima Espresso Co

A shot of espresso a day keeps the doctor away.

13. Lili Cafe

The food from here is amazing too!

14. Biddle’s Escape

Live music is always a bonus when you're sitting at a cute coffee shop and Biddle's Escape has you covered!

15. Carnegie Coffee Company

I will never be over how cute and cozy this coffeehouse is.

Coffee isn't just a drink, it is a lifestyle. If grabbing a cup of jo with some friends on a Sunday is your type of day, I recommend you check out these shops!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
