Come 2017, Pitbull is said to be releasing an environmentally-conscious album called, "Climate Change." The album is still in the works, but the rapper is said to drop the album as soon as possible.
“As of right now, we’re looking at 2017, but you never know… album [release dates] always change. I’m a big believer that everything happens for a reason. Right now we’re working on two records in the thirteenth hour with very, very interesting features that will also be part of Climate Change.”
This album, with songs such as: Bad Man, Can’t Have, FREE.K, Freedom, or Messin’ Around, seems to be quite disengaged from any notion of, "green living" , but evidently has an underlying goal surrounding Pitbull’s strong desire to combat the economic disaster that is climate change.
When coming forward about his reasoning for the album name he said,
“If I just did an album about climate change, no one would listen to it, but since I put out albums like Global Warming, Globalization and now Climate Change, I let the public connect the dots.”
Who would have thought that the same artist that said the following lyrics, could have such a green thumb:
[Chorus:]
Put your ass in reverse baby (back up)
It don't involve money then (back up)
Doggy for me and (back up)
Every time I fall I get right (back up)
Haters in the club (back up)
Gold diggers (back up)
Broke niggas (back up)
I suggest, I suggest that you (back up)
[Verse 2:]
Everybody knows Pits got tight raps
When I'm in the club DJ's bring it back
When those questions asked but the number one question is (does he got cash?)
Lil Jon's at the bar while me and the eastside boys smoke out
Roll another one no doubt
Get a couple hoes roll out
Beef you don't want non to go down
Dum de, de dum dum that's my style
The city in from is coming with better riles
That ol make your crew run, run, your crew run, run
While this album seems oddly disconnected from traditional environmental advocacy, as he lets the public “connect the dots,” there is hope for the future of our world!
