You know that feeling. The feeling of your throat clentching up as you rehearse what you are going to recite in your mind; the perfect ramble to tell exactly how you feel in the moment. However, as you open your lips expecting words nothing flows out except the bad after taste of your dry mouth. Sometimes its just the opposite. In that do or die moment a cluster of every emotion burst out of your mouth except the right one to pinpoint how you're feeling. Then as you take a step back from life it's by divine intervention that you realize it wasn't your turn to speak, but be spoken to. These moments pass in songs, bible verses, sometimes from the mouths of other people. However, if you are a teenage girl who is in love with Pinterest (AKA Me!) these sacred moments happen as fast as I can glide my finger across my cell phone screen. Here are eight quotes that I discovered on Pinterest, but spoke to my soul.
1. What you know: today is only one day, 24 hours. TODAY is a bad day. Tomorrow is coming and will be better. What you feel: Today will never end. Life is bad overall. Please don't lose this battle by thinking with your emotions. You're emotions are important and valid to you, but don't forget the bigger picture.

2. You can't truly appreciate life unless you know what you're living for. If every guy you dated was the one how would you ever actually find the one? If you were handed your dreams would it be just as satisfying?

3. You, my dear, are so special. You are beautiful, full of light and are worth so much. Let your dreams and ambitions reflect your worth and beauty. You deserve that. No need to boast, but have confidence in knowing that your calling will be a reflection of the light you hold for yourself.

4. It's completely OK to not be OK. We have to honor ourselves and our feelings before we can recognize our truth. Just like quote number one. Feel your emotions, but don't think with them. Be sad, cry, yell, but then smile because even if others can't see your strength you know it's there. I promise you, thats a fact.

5. You're in control of your happiness, but the change has to start with yourself first.

6. We are always changing. Need I say more?

7. Life is as fluid as we are. What I take away from this is even if you are physically and emotionally at a different place you still hold the same truths and strengths. For me, it's a reminder that it takes the same amount of strength to break down and cry as it does to be completely confident.

8. Last, but not least.

I know that each quote will have a different interpretation to each person, but we can all agree that sometimes the best piece of advice is to just take a step back and listen.
