Pinterest: My Holy Grail

Words cannot express how much I love Pinterest. For those who have no idea what Pinerest is, let me fill you in. Pinterest is a social network site in which members can share pictures and also discover new ideas through a process of “pinning." My favorite part about this site is that I can organize all of my pins into “boards.” It’s almost better than Google, I can find DIY projects and explore thousands of sites through pictures as summaries of the site. This is definitely the site for anyone who loves to organize. It’s a way to organize all of your ideas and thoughts. For example, my boards include my dream closet, tattoo ideas, hairstyle ideas, cool photography, DIY crafts, inspiration quotes, etc. I probably find most of my inspirations on Pinterest, mostly involved in my artwork or just small projects I take on. I took a few of my favorite quotes I had found and painted them on canvases to decorate my dorm room.

Obviously sometimes the DIY crafts don't always come out like the picture on Pinterest, but it's still fun to try. Other ideas come in forms of what kind of eye makeup I try out for a formal event. Or the next way I want my hair to be cut. Pinterest has also been my go to when I'm bored, or feeling down. I like to go through my boards of inspirational quotes when I need a little pick me up. Sometimes I find ones that really stick with me. Other times I find ones that really describe how I'm feeling. In the end I always feel better after some pinning. It's also very addicting, in a sense it's kind of like Tumblr.

Other popular boards are wedding plans, makeup, prom dresses, etc. Women can plan out their entire dream wedding from their computer without even having to have a significant other. Along with school dances. My senior year, I had planned out what dress, hairstyle, makeup, and shoes that I was going to wear for my senior prom a year in advance. I had the access at my finger tips and I could organize it into boards all on one site.

If you ever wanted to know what goes on inside a women's head, just check her Pinterest. All of her future plans, inspirations, things she loves, etc. will be organized and located on this one site. I sometimes check my friend's boards when I need gift ideas, and usually am spot on. Pinterest is definitely my holy grail and I do not think I could live with out it. It is super useful, and if you don't have an account, make one! It's free and super helpful to find literally anything you want and it's visually pleasing.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
