Pieces Of A Generation

It's one thing to speak,

It's another to do,

We have become a generation of talkers,

Forgetting that words mean little without action,

Nowadays it isn't about love,

Only lust,

Always carrying a rubber,

Yeah that's a must,

It's not about feeling a connection,

Just faking your affection,

One a day,

Another at night,

Always changing what you say,

Half the time out of spite,

Better take a look at your actions,

Before you get to relaxing,

You don't want to end up in a situation,

Where you finally love someone, That turns out to be another fake,

Our generation has become so use to temporary feelings,

This includes things and people,

We aren’t surprised when there isn’t a sequel,

But it’s sad really,

How accustomed we have become,

Detachment has become something normal,

Our generation is use to temporary feelings,

They don’t expect a sequel,

They’ve expect everything to come to an end,

The idea of something temporary is the new trend,

And it’s a really sad thing to see,

This generation isn't ready to settle down,

They're just looking for a follow on Twitter or Instagram,

This generation is missing out,

On so much that could be,
