46% of people in relationships right now met their significant other on a dating app. However, a good chunk of people on dating apps are not using them to find a relationship. I'll just leave it at that.
I am a dating app user, sometimes to date, sometimes to have a conversation. I wanted to see if other people were encountering the same types of people that I was. Long story short, they definitely are. Some of them are pretty smooth, I will admit. Others, yeah, not so much.
Here are 20 pick-up lines that actual people have received on dating apps, such as Tinder, Bumble, Grindr, etc.:
1. "Hey! So I know it was a little cold outside but I’m wearing gloves, obviously not because of the weather today but rather because of the fact you’d be too dang hot to handle without them!"
2. "Apologies for the delay, I was making a complaint to Spotify because you're not the hottest single this week. Unfortunately, they can't put you in the top 10 because you're a solid 11."
3. "You're Catholic too!"
4. "Let's f***."
5. "If you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside then I would like to get to know you!! what do you think???"
6. "Are you a ranch or ketchup type of person?"
7. "Hey, you're cute. We should make out."
8. "Wanna make out?"
9. "I lost my number, can I have yours?"
10. "What color are your nipples?"
11. "If you don’t mind my wife coming we should meet up."
12. "Your body has 206 bones in it. Wanna make it 207? ;)"
13. "How do you feel about ropes and chains?"
14. "Amazon Prime and grind?"
15. "I lost my password to Twitter and my security question is "(insert name of girl here)'s phone number" but I don't seem to have it, do you think you can help me out?"
16. "I’m glad you like dogs... lemme show you doggy style."
17. "If you were a fruit, you would be a fine apple."
18. “When I was born I was given the option of either having a good memory or a large (you know what). I don’t remember which one I chose...”
19. "Roses are red, violets are fine, you'll be the six, and I'll be the nine."
20. "The craziest thing just happened to me. I'm driving back from my spring break trip in Daytona Beach, and I got pulled over. I get the "texting and driving is bad" speech but I tell him that I was on Tinder, and proceeded to show him your profile. Long story short he gave me a warning but said that I better get your number."
All I can say is, you can't make this stuff up.
