We live in the era where showing off our accomplishments/traveling/life on social media has become vital to our existence. In the mix, comes beautiful superstars that are queens of social media. We see all their beautiful pictures, and suddenly we think that is all there is to them.

Men become conditioned to think women are all about how we look. Who can blame them right? I mean look at the immense amount of movies and televisions shows that objectify women. Of course, this is just merely a reflection of how men actually think.

Men make up 95.7% of directors in the Hollywood industry. It is no wonder women are portrayed in the way where nothing matters but their looks.

All this media exposure, not only allows us to live in a fantasy world, but it soon starts to affect our reality. It makes us vulnerable to the negative influence of others. Therefore leading to focus on the physical aspect of women and even men and ignoring the traits that matter such as character.

When we see someone we like, the first thing that attracts us is their looks. Imagine every person would allow themselves to put all looks aside and focus on the person's character. Friendships and relationships would possibly last longer. You know what they say, outer beauty fades and inner beauty stays.

By no means am I excluding looks at all costs. They do matter, but they are not what we should be focusing on.

Let us celebrate everyone's inner beauty. At the end of the day, character is waht truly captures the heart.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about.
