If you are going to be a college freshman or if you're in college already and want to change your ways, these small things can help you stay healthy.

The best thing for your body is to walk and get some exercise in for your body's mental and physical state.

Walking is great for you physically, that's a given. But walking can also be good for your mental state. Walking can help you think about life or other things you can't think about when you're super busy.

Drinking alcohol is not good for your body if you drink all the time. If you're going to drink, just have a little and don't drink every weekend.

7. Drink a ton of water

Drinking water is so good for you. Water is the best thing for your body. Water hydrates your skin, helps your brain and helps your body release toxins. Carry a water bottle around with you while going to class. Try and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Your body will love you.

8. Go to the gym

Going to the gym is a confidence booster. Not only is working out good for you physically, it is also just as good mentally. Working out can help you when your feeling stressed about the huge amount of school work you have to do.

9. Ask for help when you need it

Asking for help is not a sign of failure. Asking for help is a sign of your willingness to learn. Getting help with homework is good and will help you learn more.

10. Set goals

Setting goals are very good for you mentally. Having goals set for yourself will keep you on track and have positive effects on your everyday life.

11. Eat fruit with every meal

Eating at least one fruit with every meal is a great way of getting some nutrients and fiber. Fruit is also just amazing so just eat fruit whenever you can!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
