Sometimes it's the little victories that mean the most. Here are a few of the best phrases that any college student could hear, and their reactions to hearing them.

"There is no mandatory attendance in this course."

Maybe we shouldn't be skipping class all semester, but it's nice to know that we won't be penalized for it.

"You get to drop your lowest test score."

Hey, this professor is getting a good evaluation at the end of the semester.

"There will be no final exam."

There will probably be a huge paper or something, but hey, still no test!

"There will be a curve."

Basically the only way that the whole class can fail and still be happy about it.

"Class is cancelled."

Waking up before an 8 A.M. with an e-mail always calls for a quick prayer for that special cancellation announcement.

"Free food."

If they offer free food, there will be a huge turnout. It's a no-fail tactic, no matter waht the event is.
