College is an interesting time for those who choose to attend. You find out a lot about yourself, and it does not matter if it is a smaller liberal arts college or a bigger university. It is a self discovering adventure. However, the road is long and difficult. College is no walk in the park. It is a journey full of trials and tribulations and you will hear things that you do not want to hear. Things that will make you question everything you have ever believed in. Let me tell you that you can in fact ask questions yourself. If you do not see eye to eye with what the professor is saying, it is ok to question and challenge. They encourage it. But going back to hearing things, just as there are things you do not want to hear, there are things that give you a sigh of relief once heard. Here are 11 things that every college student wants to hear.

1. "What test?"

Nothing brings two or more students together than knowing you are screwed for that surprise test. It is a feeling like none other because you and a stranger now have a bond that can last the semester.

2. "Free"

Nothing brings a tear to a student's eye than hearing that something is free. Trust me, the freer..... most free? More free, the better. Whether it is hygienic supplies or stuff to practice safe sex with, when it is free, it is wonderful. Same with food. Free food equals best food.

3. "Stress dogs/cats"

How can you feel stressed when momentarily, your world becomes warm and fuzzy because you are accompanied by a furry friend? My freshman year we had cats that they were adopting. I ended up bonding with one and cried a bit.

4. "College Night"

Having a beer after a long week is magical. It is even better when the drinks are 1/2 off. Thank you college night for $6 pitchers.

5. "No class"

THANK YOU PROFESSOR FOR HAVING PITY ON US!!!!!!! Even though sometimes they just do not feel like coming in that day.

6. "Discount with your ID"

I like paying for less. We all like paying for less. WE ALL LOVE PAYING FOR LESS!

7. "I got you."

You cry a little when someone offers to buy you food. Be real, we all do. Payback though, is another story.

8. "Open notes/book test"

Hearing this opens up the window because you might not be doing so well in that class and this is your chance to finally get your foot in the door.

9. "I am extending the test/project another week"

There is a God who shows mercy on us. Professors are humans just like us. They remember the times. They remember.

10. "You got a package you need to pick up"

When it is not a letter from your school or a bank trying to lure you to them, your heart leaps a little when you end up getting a package from either home or amazon because you do not get much letters anymore. It is a lost sentiment of love.

11. "We are watching a movie today"

Yes you read that right. There are professors who find a way to incorporate a movie into their studies...... but then again, there are those who just want to watch a movie.

Like I said, college is an interesting time. It has its ups and downs with days that feel like the world is crushing you, but there are good times as well.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
