In case you don't already know, when it snows in Georgia, or anywhere else in the South for that matter, it is a really big deal. Most kids that live here have either never seen snow fall and if they have it's only a few centimeters. So when it is forecasted to snow, everyone freaks out. Atlanta shuts down, groceries stores run out of bread, Chick-fil-a closes and most importantly, schools close. So on December 8, 2017, it snowed. Fulton County decided to wait for all of the surrounding districts to close because they had to live up to their legacy set in 2014 during snowpocalypse when Atlanta was mocked by the entire country for a mere two inches of snow, and students and teachers were forced to sleep in the schools. This time, they dismissed students starting at 11:48 a.m. instead of 2:30 p.m. Immediately after dismissal, I drove to pick up my brother and then went to play in the winter wonderland!
