This is a list of some of the best photography spots in and around Johnstown, Pennsylvania! I, personally, have visited all of these places. Most of these places are easily accessible, and enjoyable to visit.
Devil's Rock
Located in Johnstown, Devil's Rock gives you a lovely view of downtown. Following the path for a short hike through the woods, you'll be lead to a graffiti covered cliff face. Though the bustling city is below you, Devil's Rock offers a very peaceful view of the city of Johnstown.
Johnstown Incline Plane
The Incline Plane offers another spectacular view of the city, from a different perspective from Devil's Rock. Being the steepest incline in the world, taking a ride is a must! Not only is this a great photography spot, but it's a great opportunity to learn some of the history of the Johnstown Flood of 1889.
The Trolley Graveyard
Located in Windber, the Trolley Graveyard is one of a kind. Tucked back in the woods, there are 14 graffiti-covered trolleys that are a photographers dream. If you decide to venture to this wonderful site, be sure to watch for broken glass and other broken objects in and around the trolleys.
The Ghost Town Trail
With multiple entrances, the Ghost Town Trail stretches 36 miles through Indiana and Cambria counties. Not only is it a beautiful trail, many parts of it have a rich history; Vintondale, Wherum, and Claghorn are all old mining towns that the trail runs through. Take a bike ride, or hike down the trail, and don't forget your camera!
Greenhouse Park
Greenhouse Park is a small park located about three miles south of downtown. With the Stony Creek River running through the heart of the park, this offers plenty of opportunities to take photographs. With large rocks covering the riverside, the scenery is absolutely beautiful.
