Have you ever tried to understand how the camera works, the difference in digital versus film. The different ways the chemicals are used into developing film, knowing how many seconds per chemical stage. A lot has changed between film and digital. Back when we had film there was hours invested in the darkroom between developing film and developing the photos themselves. Now in the digital world there is less time editing because of photo shop and light room. But with digital photography there are many different cameras you can choose from. And now we have our phones that we can take photos from and edit them by downloading any app out there. A lot has changed between film and now.
Photography has changed tremendously, it has also changed my perspective in the way everything is used. I personally started taking different classes in high school to see what it was all about. I ended up liking it more and more, at first it was pretty confusing with the different buttons on the camera and the different buttons in photo shop. Because all the buttons were too confusing I didn't think it was for me. It ended up being my senior year in high school when my photography teacher actually told me to go to school for it because I had such an eye for it.
Personally, I thought she was crazy, I never thought I was that good until I started carrying my camera everywhere with me, different road trips, different projects or just shooting around the house. That was when I knew I wanted to go to school for it because I wanted to create different memories for many people out there. Photography is all about creating memories for others and even yourself. I catch myself here and there throwing out photography terms to other and them looking at me with four heads because not many understand the beauty of photography. There are so many things you can do with it just go out and try it, see if you like it. Don't look at the prices just try shooting and seeing if you like it.
