Pictures truly are worth more than a thousand words. They fill us with memories and emotions that let us relive the past. Every picture is very special, each telling a unique story. Pictures allow time to pause just for a second, and then give us a lifetime of memories. Live in the moment, don't live through your phone. But sometimes, we need to capture the moment.

And these "1 year ago today" memories are making me nostalgic.

Last February, I started to become more interested in photography, which lead me to taking more and more pictures. It was a prime opportunity to photograph the world. I was seeing art and history every day. I took advantage of my interests and my locations to start photographing more of the places I traveled to. I started watching the sun set and the architecture around cities. Not owning a professional camera limited me to using my iPhone camera, which can still take high-ish quality photos. Here are some of my favorite pictures of places I've been and the beauty of the world I captured (on my phone) from February 2018, some things that are very special to me.

I started February 2018 off in Paris, France. This photo is from inside the Louvre Museum. Free admission for students on Friday nights! The Louvre was where I started to appreciate and become interested in art.

Paris, France. The Catacombs...the largest underground cemetery that holds the remains of more than 6 million people. You are not supposed to take pictures, but I did.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
