We all know the quirky blonde whose quick wit is a little out there from the hit show and Netflix go-to, "Friends." She is very open about her feelings, whether it be excitement, anger, love or just complete disinterest in the current situation. She always manages to make situations completely awkward and/or hilarious with her lack of filter; but regardless, she is incredibly loved for her weirdness.
Can you relate to any of these situations? If so, perhaps you’re the Phoebe Buffay in your friend group.
Sometimes your friends get nervous taking you out with them because of your awkward behavior, so you have to explain to them...
... but...
Once your pals agree to your company, you immediately embarrass them when you start "jiving" your way to the dance floor... ...but you're convinced you look totally normal.Since the dancing didn't work out, your friends encourage you to make some moves on the cute guy in the corner, so you confidently initiate exchanging numbers.
But then you get a little too confident and scare him off with an aggressive pick-up line...
Strangely, the guy runs away. So your friends try to play match-maker with a guy you're completely uninterested in, so you give him a fake name. And you can't help but show your true feelings about the conversation. So to get out of the uneasy convo, you "pretend" to be crazy...Thank God he gets the hint and quickly backs away and runs. So now you're free to go find the party host's cat to connect with...But then you see your friends fighting, so you go to enjoy the show. However, when there begins to be more of a crowd, you are sure to break up the fight in the most humorous way...And once everything is settled down, you suggest that the gang goes back and enjoys a few drinks in wedding gowns. As you can see, even if you are the strangely honest and possibly crazy Phoebe of the friend group, your presence is completely necessary for comic relief and keeping the peace.
