Phoebe Buffay Is Life

Dear Lisa Kudrow,

Thank you for creating the greatest character in television history. Phoebe Buffay was the character that always made me laugh and was the reason why I kept hitting "watch now" for the next episode on Netflix. As a Friends groupie, here is 12 of the most memorable Phoebe Buffay lines of all time.

1. "They're great for shoplifting melons."

Phoebe says this when giving Rachel maternity pants that stretch when your pregnant and apparently hold stolen fruit pretty well.

2. "Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you?..."

The infamous Smelly Cat song, who could ever forget it (it is annoyingly catchy).

3. "If you didn't just have my best friend's baby, a rabid dog would be feeding on your danglers."

Pheobe's response to when Ross told Mike (Paul Rudd) that she has never been in a serious relationship and he told him that she dated "Vicrum" for six years.

4."Damn you Ref, Burn in hell!"

Thanksgiving comes around and she tries to fake watching the football game with Chandler to avoid helping Monica set up.

5."That's brand new information."

Slick, she knew the whole situation about Rachel being pregnant.

6. "They shan't be long.. One does have a stick up one's ass? Doesn't one?"

For Phoebe's birthday, Joey and Phoebe hold down the table at a fancy restaurant for the rest of the crew to arrive as a waiter insists that they move. Fancy restaurant means it's time to make up a fancier sounding language.

7. "I got hepatitis from a pimp spitting in my mouth... so where does everyone summer?"

This is when she visits Mike's parents on the Upper East Side. Mike tells her to be herself but she fails horribly, which forces her to fake an elegant accent.

8. "If it's a girl Phoebe, if it's a boy phoebo."

In efforts to decide a name for the incoming baby, she gives a creative response.

9. "Her name was Nesele Toulouse."

Phoebe thought the woman who owned the secret recipe to the cookies was french. Little to her surprise, it was simply Nestle Tollhouse.

10. "You Americans always butcher the French language."

Monica asks Phoebe "Nestle Toll House?". Then Monica fetches the Nestle Chocolate Chip bag, throwing it to Phoebe across the room, "is this the recipe?" "YES!... OH...", says Phoebe.

11. "Haul ass!"

She attempted to break into a car so Ross could move his Porsche. However, the car alarm went off.

12. "How much is it?...We will give you 10 dollars."

Chandler and Phoebe shop for Monica's engagement ring. It was priced at 8,600. Her negotiating skills are amazing.

These are just twelve of the many funny, entertaining lines from Phoebe throughout the show Friends. Phoebe Buffay always makes me laugh out loud at the screen, so thank you Lisa Kudrow.

Sincerely,

A devoted fan

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
