On Saturday Night, I had the opportunity to witness the back to back champions Philly Soul take on the Baltimore Brigade at the Wells Fargo Center. I had been to plenty of professional baseball, basketball, hockey, and football games, but I had never witnessed an arena football game before. After watching this nail biter game of constant scoring between both sides of the field, I can proudly say that I am a zealot! The score kept going back and forth between both teams up until the final minute of the game when Darius Reynolds scored the final touchdown which made the final score Soul 54, Brigade 49. The Wells Fargo Center, filled with approximately 10,000 fans was ecstatic to see their team off to a 2-0 start this season, on the road to a possible third championship. The MVP of the Philly Soul would have to go to Dan Raudabaugh, who scored six touchdowns , followed by Darius Reynolds, who threw four touchdowns that night. If the game wasn't exciting enough, the Philly Soul had many fun activities in between breaks including puppy races, tee shirt tosses, and other ways to get on the jumbotron made the experience even better! With the Eagles season over, I would highly recommend you go see a Philly Soul game to see some great family friendly football and cheer on your back to back AFL champions! The Philly Soul will take on Albany next Saturday, April 28th at home.
