The 6 Phases Of Every College Student's Winter Break
Hello Giggles

Depending on where you go to school, winter break can range anywhere from two weeks to a full month home. We all desperately need a break from classes and exams, and let's be real—a break from drinking probably wouldn't hurt, either. Don't get me wrong, we all need some time to relax, but college students hit a certain point where they are counting down the days until they go back to school. No matter how long your university's winter break is, you will most likely experience the following phases.

1. The "holy sh*t, I'm done with finals" phase

During finals week, students all over the country and insanely eager to be done with their exams and finally get home. I would know, I brought my suitcase to my last final and went straight to the airport once I was done.

2. The "I can't wait to do absolutely nothing all break" phase

Insert the ridiculously long list of shows you plan to binge-watch on Netflix.

3. The "alright, what now?" phase

This usually takes place once you binge watched everything you wanted to watch absurdly fast.

4. The "hanging out with your parents" phase

This occurs when you are so bored that you begin to participate in activities with your parents that you NEVER imagined ever being a part of.

5. The "get me out of here" phase

This happens when you have finally had enough of home and would literally do anything to go back to school and be with your friends again.

6. And finally, "the day before going back to school" phase

When you are so unbelievably excited to go back to school that you cannot even sleep and just want to wake up and be back at your favorite place in the world.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
