The University of Tennessee is sure excited to see Peyton Manning going to another Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos. With Manning's two touchdown passes to tight end Owen Daniels and a last escape by the Denver Broncos defense, the Broncos defeated the New England Patriots 20-18 in the AFC Championship Game Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, advancing to Super Bowl 50.
Peyton is one of the most dominating quarterbacks people have seen with multiple MVP awards and leading the Indianapolis Colts to victory in the Super Bowl XLI. Manning has played in three Super Bowls to date and will be playing in this year’s taking place on Feb. 7 playing in Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California on CBS AT 6:30. This year it will be the Denver Broncos versus the Carolina Panthers.
Manning changed the game of football for most fans with his amazing touchdown efficiently. We all thought his career was over before he returned back from having neck infusion surgery. Everyone thought that was the end for him and then he made his comeback.
"I certainly didn't think this would even be a possibility a couple of years ago," Manning said after the game of his return. Without a doubt Peyton Manning has proven to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. After 15 seasons in the NFL, Peyton Manning has spent every March re-watching old film and dissecting his plays looking for his patterns. Peyton may not have the most rings, but is it really about the rings? No, it is about the playing field and how you put your heart and mind into the game and Peyton does exactly that.
Even with the allegations going around that Manning took Human Growth Hormones, which we all know is false, he still holds his head high because he knows the truth. When you play the way Manning plays, there are going to be tremendous amounts of uncertainty about how he does it, but the answer is hard work. Peyton is the man and he has the whole University of Tennessee supporting him. It is said that we will never see anyone better than Manning and this very well might be true. For some people they think this might be Peyton’s last game he will play in the NFL, while others believe he is not going out yet. So will this be his last time to shine? For most we will just have to see it to believe it. Peyton Manning being a past (and forever) Vol is who everyone here at the University of Tennessee will be routing for this Super Bowl so we are hoping he will bring home the win.
