If you could see the GroupMe chat of EMU Odyssey, you would notice that there is an overabundance of animal pictures scattered throughout the messages. It's one of the things that brings our community together, because, let's be real: how can you not bond over pictures of cute animals?

Our pets are special to us at EMU Odyssey, and so I've compiled a series of pictures and descriptions from the creators about their "paw-tners in crime." In case you need a bright spot to your day, here are a few of our creator's beautiful, fur-tastic pets!

Quilliam, Ashley Bardon's Hedgehog

Tessa Mae, Logan Molnar's Pupper

Laverne

Creator Andy Myers describes his pup Laverne as " a lover, no doubt about that, and therapeutic professional, too. She's a living, breathing sedative that only wants to see you happy and relaxed. However, her take-no-sh** attitude has convinced me that - if she had a voice - she sounds like Ving Rhames' character Marsellus Wallace from "Pulp Fiction." Such a gentle companion but she usually becomes the alpha in her social packs."

Gracie

Creator Meghan Talbot describes her dog, Gracie as "a 13 year old Bichon-Frise. Her nickname is Gracie Kardashian because of how spoiled she is. She enjoys sleeping, tricking people into giving her more chicken, and tanning when it's warm out. She will only eat her dog food in the car."

Sabrina and Autumn

To quote their owner, Creator Darcie Snay: "Sabrina is my grumpy, fat old lady. She does her best everyday to not get out of bed. She likes to yell at you at 3am so she can get cuddles. Autumn just like floor heaters, cuddles, and cheese. Likes to sit on top of the fridge. Also likes to drink toilet water. Always gives me b**ch face."

Riley and Nikita,
Creator Lauren Koss' Bunny and Husky

Harvey, Darcie Snay's Dog

Terrence, Riley, Molly and Padfoot

Creator Renee Goforth describes her furry family:

"Terrence is a big a**, wimpy dog. He could never be an outside dog, he's lived way too much of a pampered life. He loves to stay in bed until about 11am, where he then moved to the couch to nap for the remainder of the day. He's convinced he is human, and even waits to eat his dinner at the same time that we all sit down to eat ours. He makes friends everywhere he goes - the employees at Pet Supplies Plus greet him by name whenever we go.

Riley is the newest addition - a Christmas puppy. We don't know much about her yet as we are still figuring her out. So far, she loves sleeping in weird positions on pillows and can be a bit ornery. She's a total lover, and I think she's going to fit in well with the family.

Molly is the ultimate lazy dog. She wants everything done for her, including you picking her up and placing her on the couch. Her favorite spot is a stack of blankets on the couch.

Padfoot is a little adventurer. He loves to get out of his cage and roam around. If he really likes you, he'll lick your nose. He loves to be carried around in people's sweatshirt pockets and to hang out with Terrence. He acts like he's starving every time we feed him, but the vet has mentioned that he may be slightly overweight, so don't let his acting fool you."

Creator Angel Fore's Dog

Oz, Bosco and Rocky

Bella

No formal description, but owner Lexy Halloran loves to celebrate the holidays with Bella!

Zeike

Zeike is my dog, and he is a gift to my family. He's an Australian Shepherd with two different colored eyes (one blue, one brown). He is a complete daddy's boy (constantly on my dad's lap), but when I'm home, he follows me around, hoping for butt scratches and extra food. He's more photogenic than I am, and I love him so much.

This is just a small sample of what goes on in EMU Odyssey's groupchat, but as you can see, we have an overload of cuteness to get us through our article-writing and college journeys!

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Advice To Live By As Told By Bob's Burgers

The Belchers hold the key to a better life.

Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
