Vanilla:

Common, simple and always delicious. Some may call you a “plain Jane” because you don’t need a lot to satisfy your sweet tooth. You are dependable and loyal. You simply can never disappoint a friend or someone in need.

Chocolate:

Scrumptious but sometimes overbearing depending on the quantity. Very flirtatious and ready to meet new people or travel to new places. You live a life of love, lust and optimism. You love to have fun and socialize on the weekends.

Strawberry:

Enjoyable, talkative and very energetic. You always lend an ear when someone needs to talk. You love to laugh, smile and you actually enjoy going to work. You love to live a healthy lifestyle and you always feel very motivated after a workout.

Mint Chocolate Chip:

You are cool to say the least, sometimes unexpectedly sassy. You live a balanced life and you maintain a positive life with both good and bad eating habits. You enjoy eating Oreos and more often than not, you pair chocolate and mint regularly. You get along with everyone and you simply just want to have a great time.

Cookie Dough Ice Cream:

You will most likely be found in the kitchen baking 5 batches of muffins or cookies a day. You love making people happy and you love giving. You spend the day scrolling through DIYs on Pinterest that include but are not limited to bold colors and funky patterns.

Rocky Road:

You love being outside. Adventure is your best friend and you are fearless. Though you may struggle to find pure happiness, you try to maintain a positive outlook on life. You love going camping with your significant other and cuddling underneath the stars. Not to brag, but you are an expert s’mores maker…the more chocolate, the better.

Black Raspberry:

You come off as reserved, but you are unique and both mentally/physically strong. You think that black raspberry pairs well with chocolate, so you often order chocolate jimmies with your black raspberry. You enjoy Brookside's chocolate covered blueberries and you could easily eat a bag by yourself. You are lively and full of energy once you open up to someone that you truly care about.

Bubble Gum:

You are a little child at heart and always feel the need to be goofy, even when it isn’t appropriate. You love to be the center of attention. As a kid, you loved ‘Bazooka’ bubble gum. Some people call it immature, but you think it’s worldly. You get upset over the little things and sometimes handle situations irrationally.

Cotton Candy:

You are the hipster of the group. You love making tie dye t-shirts and they always come out amazing. Over the summer you start your own string bracelet business which everyone goes crazy over. Calm music makes you feel at peace with yourself. You were that child that always got cornrows on your family vacations because it was definitely in style.

Banana:

You are super healthy and naturally smart. You love pairing peanut butter with bananas because you think it tastes amazing. You probably eat Nutella with a spoon because you can never actually satisfy your sweet tooth. Maybe you run 10 miles every day or maybe you write poetry in your spare time….maybe you even do both. You inspire many people on a daily basis, keep doing you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
