Inner thoughts on New Year's Eve: "Move to the closest person near you at 11:59, a couple side smirks and rocks to the music. Look at me ! Yes eye contact ! The chemistry's there? Yes. So i'm good. OK ! He/She knows why I'm right here... Here goes nothing... BLAM ! -- kissed ! Good Luck all year. *does the Carlton Dance"
Hey you !
If you were wondering, the picture above was basically me on New Year's. No, not the couple, but the girl on the side holding the drinks HaHa ! Seeing almost everyone kiss around you is the face of receiving pajamas as a Christmas gift for the third year in the row:
So, you didn't get your kiss for the start of 2017 ? That's OK ! Its just superstition anyways. Growing up, New Year's was all about having fun, drinking soda, and being with family and friends. Notice, how all of these superstitions didn't mean anything until we became conscious-understanding (young) adults. Fast forward to now, If you've done research online you've seen that there are a multitude of articles that tell us that we can get good luck in love ALL YEAR LONG if we kiss when the clock strikes 12.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen for everyone. If you're reading this, then it may not have happened to YOU. I can assure you that there's no "bad luck" associated with not receiving a kiss. I've heard of many other New Year's traditions that could affect your year such as: eating 12 grapes, wearing multiple colored underwear, cooking blackeyed peas, greens, and pork. Did you do one of those or have your own? There's a good 7 times out of 10 chance that the special girl or guy that you were hoping to kiss, could very well have been kiss-less too, so there's still hope for you two !
That's just one night, but if you continue to bring your great value and qualities along with you into 2017 then you'll find happiness. Tons of things fall under happiness. Make yourself first this year, learn a new language, do more of your favorite hobby, travel, learn yourself and learn to love and give love to others.
May your new year be blessed, and filled with less stress.
Every day is a new day, and you'll never be able to find happiness if you don't move on. - Carrie Underwood
