Going into the real world can be terrifying especially when all you have is college experience. I recently was offered two internships and I have a bit of experience but I am still pretty nervous. I've never really been involved in a real and well-known business.
I have taken enough college courses to feel a little prepared for these new roles. However, it's weird going from a confused freshman to an up and coming profession in the real world of business. It feels like I just started college even though I am going into my junior year. These internships were a bit of a hit in the face. I knew I wanted to do an internship to gain more knowledge and experience in my field, but I just feel like this came a lot faster than anticipated.
Nerves aside, I think I am ready to take on these new jobs. I can't wait to learn as much as I can in an actual professional environment and work with hard-working professionals who specialize in what I love. I can't wait to hopefully one day step into their shoes and guide an overwhelmed student to the field we both love.
