A person like you only comes around once in a life time, and I am so thankful.

Thanks for loving me even as I grow old!

Hey Best Friend,

You know what is crazy? You have literally been in my life since before I can remember. Like I can honestly say that I don't remember life before you were in it. We have had some of the best memories! From our very first sleepover, to days just sitting by the lake. Your house was basically where I lived half the time, and when we were not at your house, we were at mine. Your parents were my parents too! You are really more than a best friend; you are family.

I just want to thank you for putting up with me for so long and I really hope you will continue to. I know that we aren't together as much as we would like to be anymore, but we are still there for each other. I know that no matter what you will be there to help me with heart breaks, relationship problems, and any kind of problem in general. You are always there to hear about my crazy embarrassing encounters, and you just laugh and tell me I am your hero or something like that.

Thank you for all the laughs. I honestly cannot thank you enough. Even after our silly fights, we would just laugh and say 'That was a good one' and then forget it had even happened. Thank you for never allowing me to feel like I was not important. You have been my rock for so long. Because of that, I could not imagine the world without you. I mean we can go months without talking and then as soon as we pick up the phone it is as if nothing has changed. And that is the greatest attribute in the world.

I cannot wait to see what you do in life. I cannot wait to see if any of the things we planned as kids will come true (Who knows? Maybe one of us will actually marry Nick Jonas). I cannot wait to see you get married to the love of your life. And I cannot wait to have our kids play together just as we did (Maybe they will become best friends too). I cannot wait to see how successful you become in whatever life throws at you.

I need you to know that no matter how far apart we are I will always be just a phone call or text away. As soon as your name appears on my phone I will drop everything to talk to you. You will always mean the world to me and be a priority! I love you a lot!

Thank you for being my best friend!

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
