Morning classes are a common bane of every college student's existence. Waking up super early in the morning and trying to find parking for your 9 a.m. class is the modern equivalent of medieval torture. But are morning classes really as bad as they seem? Read on to find out a few ways in which they actually aren't.
1. You get them out of the way.
This is probably the most important reason to appreciate morning classes. Have you ever gotten that feeling of dread after a day of fun and relaxation, when you realize that you have a class to attend later in the day? You won't have to worry about that with your morning class(es). Once you attend, you'll essentially get it out of the way. This brings us to the next major perk...
2. More time in the day.
After your morning class is done, depending on your schedule you will have the rest of the day to do literally whatever you want. You can grab lunch, study for other classes, go to the mall, hang out with your friends, or even scour the campus for free food and prizes. Having a lot of free time after class during the day is beneficial to your maintaining a sense of balance and managing your time better. Speaking of doing whatever you want after morning classes...
3. You can take a nap.
Did you wake up a little too early for your class? Or do you just dread waking up super early in the morning to get to your class on time? No problem, because when your morning class is over, you have the option to go home and take a nap before you embark on your next adventure for the day. Or, you can stay home and call it a day from that point. Either way, the world is your oyster!
4. Coffee.
Enough said. But seriously, it is nearly everyone's favorite pick-me-up, and what better way to start your day than stopping to get a cup of coffee? It even serves as a nice energy boost (without all the other extra ingredients that energy drinks contain) to help you get things done. Be sure to try and beat those lines because depending on where you go, they can get super long.
When you really think about it, morning classes aren't as bad as you think! When I was in college, I always preferred taking morning and/or early afternoon classes overnight classes because I like to get things done early and get them out of the way. And if you dislike morning classes, hopefully, this article will give you a different perspective on them!
