Perks Of Having A Dog

Perks Of Having A Dog

They say that dogs are man's (and woman's) best friend, and there is no doubt that it is one hundred percent true. Dogs are loyal, entertaining, protective, and affectionate creatures that devote their life and love to you. They can be a great responsibility, but they are totally worth it and always put a smile on your face. No matter what, you can always count on your dog to be your friend and give you their unconditional love, and when all else fails, your dog will be more than happy to do whatever you want to do. Dogs are one of the coolest animals you will ever have contact with, and here are many of the perks that will convince you that you need a dog in your life as soon as possible.

There is never a time when they are not extremely excited to see you.

As soon as you walk in the door from being gone for a little while (or just ten minutes), the dog's tail is wagging at one hundred miles an hour because he can't contain his happiness and excitement to see you. It's a wonderful feeling knowing you can bring so much joy to them, and I can pretty much guarantee you that no human being will ever be so happy to see you that their butt wiggles.

They are your personal buddy for all activities.

You want to go on a run? Take your dog. You want to go get ice cream? So does your dog. You want to take a three hour nap? Invite the dog. Literally, your dog will be ready to do anything with you because they just love you so much.

You can vent and rant and say anything on your mind to your dog, and they won't tell a single soul.

Say whatever you want to a dog, and they will pass no judgement or criticisms about you. They can keep a secret forever, so you can count on them to never stab you in the back.

They are always the best to feature in your Snapchats.

Have you ever seen a dog with one of those Snapchat filters? What about face-swapped with a pup? No? Well I can assure you, it might possibly be one of the funniest things you've ever seen. But even without filters, your cute little dog is always great to send to your friends.

When you spill your bowl of popcorn on the floor or you just don't want to eat the vegetables left on your plate, your dog will be there in a flash to clean up your mess of food on the floor so that you don't have to hassle getting the vacuum out again.

When you don't feel like doing anything, your dog is always down to snuggle with you and watch seven episodes of "Friends" on Netflix.

Dogs have no problem laying around doing absolutely nothing with you. Also, they are like your own personal heating system. They'll curl right up next to you and keep you warm for hours.

Dogs are kind of goofy sometimes, so they'll give you something to laugh about every day.

It might be that they like chasing their tail, they get running so fast that they trip over their own feet, they give you a weird look and coincidentally wink at you, or they are just so excited to go outside that they accidentally run into the door. Whatever it may be, you can rely on a dog to make you laugh at least once a day.

Nothing will love you more unconditionally and endlessly than a dog will.

Literally nothing values you more than a pet dog does. You are their leader, companion, and meaning of life. When you have a dog, they don't know anything else but you. They couldn't thank you enough for caring and loving them, so in return they give you all the love they have, and when you have the love of a dog in your life, things won't be too bad.

With all these perks, why would you not want to have a pet dog? They will make you happy no matter what the situation is, they will constantly shower you with their endless love, they are a friend that will never turn their back on you, and they can always find a way to make your life that much more enjoyable. In the end, there is only one downfall to having a pet dog: they cannot stay with you forever, and the only thing to make it easier to let go is knowing that all dogs go to heaven.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
