1.College Credit
Dual enrollment is a unique opportunity for high school students to gain college credits. Whether it be through direct enrollment into the college or through an early/ middle college, students are given an opportunity to gain college credits that could be accepted at a student’s college of choice.
2. Experience in a College Setting
Through dual enrollment, high school students are able to experience life as a college student with the safety net of parents or high school teachers to help them. Dual enrollment gives high school students the opportunity to learn how to study for college, how to thrive in college, and how to get the most of their education. Prospective colleges for these dual enrolled students see these students as college prepared and experienced students, which is appealing to prospective colleges.
3. Growth as a Young Adult
Dual enrollment provides high school students with the opportunity to experience a more mature setting. These students are expected to study, prepare, and benefit from these classes. These expectations allow for students to grow and mature in a safe environment that will benefit them in their future endeavors.
4. Finding You Career Interests and Disinterests
Through dual enrollment, high school students are able to experience a variety of classes and career choices. This gives them the opportunity to decide what interests and disinterests them, which allows for the students to enter their prospective colleges with more focus and experience.
