Whether it is in the dorms or in greek housing, living on campus definitely has its perks.

1. Walking is easy.

Whether it is walking to a class or an event it is always closer for you than all of your off campus friends. The walk back is also not painful. while all your friends have to make the dreaded walk back after a fun event or after classes all day you don't have to. Your room is right around the corner for you to relax in.

2. Food

Living on campus means having either a meal plan or a house chef to cook food for you. Its always nice to know that after studying you can go some where to get a hot meal rather than having to go home and make it your self. A well prepped meal will always beat ham and cheese.

3. Studying

Late at night whether you are working on your homework or doing a hugh project, it is always nice to have others around to work with. Having to go to the library can be a pain as it is a long walk and at the end of the all of the studying, making the treacherous journey is a pain.

4. No Chores

If you hate the idea of cleaning a kitchen or a bathroom then your in luck because with the on campus housing all you have to worry about in the room is yourself. Sure you have to pick up some shirts here and there but its better than having to scrub the bath tub or wash the dishes.

5. Community

When living at home you will be come close with the people you live with. You will see them everyday for the next year, but for the next year those are basically the only people you will be seeing. When living on campus there is a community. It does not matter the time, you can always find someone new to talk to.

6. Less Worry

When it comes to living on campus everything is set up and laid out for you from the beginning. You don't have to fiddle with the internet or try to collect money for the utility bills. There is also never worry about accidentally paying the bill late and not having wifi the night of a big assignment.

7. Provided Furniture

Living on campus also means everything is provided for you in your room. You'll get a bed, desk, and dresser and in college what more do you really need. You already want to bring everything you own to make your dorm feel just like home, why add a bunch of heavy furniture to that list? With many college campus, they are offering premium style housing which include a couch and dining table.

8. Free stuff

Who doesn't love free stuff. Being on campus means easy access all of these free items from food to a pair of headphones. Whether it is provided by your dorm or somewhere on campus, you don't care because its free.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
