6 Perks Of Having A Boyfriend Who Can Sing

I'm the girl that has the boyfriend that everyone wants. Not only is he incredibly sweet all the time and the best boyfriend in the world, he can sing like an angel. It's absolutely impossible to choose my favorite thing about him, but his voice is definitely one of them.

Here are a few perks of having a boyfriend that can sing:

1. Phone calls often turn into personal concerts.

You know those moments when neither of you has anything to say and you kind of just sit on the phone in each other's presence? Those are my favorite moments because they usually turn into him singing his new favorite song to me over the phone.

2. Car rides always have good music.

As if phone concerts weren't enough, the car concerts are even better. Whether we're being serious and singing Ed Sheeran or goofing off and singing Veggietales, music is our go-to for a long car ride.

3. He sings to me to cheer me up.

Whenever I'm sad or angry, he knows I won't stay that way long if he starts to sing to me. It may be a sweet song to make me feel better or a silly song to make me laugh; either way, he knows how to make me smile even when I don't want to.

4. He writes songs for me.

Every girl is searching for their own Thomas Rhett, right? Well boy, have I found mine... I was telling him one day about Thomas Rhett writing an entire album for Lauren, so he started that day on the album he's writing for me.

5. Always having a duet partner.

I'm never left hanging when it comes to singing duets. If I find a song I like, he learns it and we sing it together.

6. We communicate through music.

He's always telling me "I have a song I want you to listen to. It reminds me of you." And even if it is the complete opposite style of music I like, I listen anyway, and I love every second of it.

Girls, here's my suggestion: ditch the jocks and find yourself a guy who will play his guitar and sing you to sleep every night. You won't regret it.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
