There are many perks of having a gay best friend. Considering I am the type of girl that doesn't necessarily get aong with other girls having someone I can run to when I need to talk about a boy, ask about what outift I should wear today, and being able to be completely open with about everything is important. This is when having a gay bestfriend comes in handy.

One of the many perks of having a gay best friend is having someone to always gossip with. I don't talk to many girls so having him is so awesome because it gives me someone to talk to about anything I want. Another perk is always having someone to talk about cute boys with and he will tell you his opinion about them also. Obviously getting a straight guy to say anything about other guys looks is not something they do. But, you get yourself a gay bestfriend and you can talk about boys for days.

Another perk of having a gay best friend is always having someone to go to about how your outfit looks. I text my best friend all the time about what I should wear and which looks better on me and he always does the same. The next perk is always having someone to sing/scream all your favorite songs with whether it is High School Musical or some Fergie songs. Your best friend is guaranteed to know all your favorite songs and you both always are singing in the car. My best friend and I actually got pulled over once for screaming I mean, it was kind of funny actually.

Anything can happen when I am with my gay best friend, we get pulled over for screaming, we talk about boys, we ask about each others outfits, but what really matters is how close we are. My gay best friend would still be my best friend no matter what. He is one of the greatest human beings I have ever met. I don't know what I would do without him and all the texts we send each other everyday. I wouldn't want to listen to anyone else's boy problems or see anyone else's outfits day after day. He truly is one of the most amazing people I've met and I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I lost him.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
