Trust me, it is possible.

Road trips are some of my favorite memories, whether it be with family going on vacation or friends to explore a new city. It's guaranteed to be an adventure you will never forget. Once you figure out all the basis, like where you are going, who is coming, and when you are leaving, it's time to pack. Remember all of these items to ensure you have the best trip possible!

1. Sweet Jams

Music is arguably the most important part of the trip. It has the ability to make or break a trip. Singing at the top of your lungs to classics with your besties is something you will never forget. In order to do this though, you need to plan ahead. Apps like Pandora are great, but require data while streaming, so opt for Spotify or Apple Music where you can download playlists and use them offline.

2. Snacks

Another very important part of the quintessential road trip. There is a fine line here, though. You don't want nothing in your car because then you will have to stop more often, but you also don't want so much junk food that you feel sick the next day. Trail mix, sunflower seeds, and maybe something sweet are good basics to stick to.

3. Caffeine

You think you won't get tired, but something about being in a car for an extended period of time exhausts you. Plan to settle, there won't be a Starbucks on every corner. Several fast food restaurants have good coffee when you stop to get food and caffeine all at once.

4. Entertainment

You would also be surprised how quickly the excitement of a road trip can wear off, especially if you get caught in traffic. If you're a passenger, download a few movies or tv shows to pass some time. To keep everyone, including the driver entertained, get a few stand up specials, they have plenty on Spotify!

5. Back up Plans

Sometimes things go wrong. It might be as simple having to stop earlier than you expected for gas, but that's a relatively easy fix. Or maybe you're driving in Canada and a section of the highway is closed and the GPS just keeps telling you to make a U-turn to get back on the highway (...hypothetically of course). In that situation, either stop and ask for directions or follow the cars in front of you and hope that they are going the same direction (they were, thankfully).

Just remember to make the trip as fun as the destination! If you're driving right by Niagara, it's worth it to stop for 15 minutes and admire the view.

You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
