Anything can constitute a bad day if you’re pessimistic enough. For me it’s usually defined by waking up late, dropping everything I pick up and then having something so minuscule suddenly take a catastrophic turn for the worse. To follow, anything can act as a cure for a bad day if you’re optimistic enough. For me, that’s usually a very large cup of tea, a fluffy blanket and a playlist that has been expertly curated over the course of many bad days. Listening to the right song at the right time can completely change the course of a day, event or even moment.

Everyone has their own personal taste in music, but hopefully, you can add some of these tunes to your playlist so your bad day blows by even faster.

1. "Hymn For The Weekend" Coldplay feat. Beyonce

I'm not a huge fan of Beyonce. I know. It's an unpopular opinion, to say the least. But this song is made better because of her amazing range and soft tone. Whether you're angry at a test grade or just having a blue day, the hippy-dippy sound of "Hymn For The Weekend" will definitely bring some color back to your day.

2. "Rockabye" Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul and Anne Marie

Aside from the fact that Sean Paul is an instant throwback to the easier days of middle school dances, this song just makes you feel happy. Even though the sentiment of the song is slightly sad (it's about a single mom trying to raise her son), the reggae beat and layered vocals of Sean Paul and Anne Marie make it impossible to not dance. If there's any way to have a better day it's to have an impromptu dance.

3. "Just Hold On" Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson

The lyrics of this song are guaranteed to get you through whatever it is that's got you down and out. Without being a drag, the song chronicles the struggle of making the hard choice to turn the other cheek in the face of adversity. Turning the other cheek is definitely something we all struggle with, and it can help to have a song to guide you through it. On a lighter note, Louis' voice is amazing and Steve Aoki is scary talented.

4. "Runaway Baby" Bruno Mars

This has forever been a favorite for me when I have a bad day. Classic to Bruno Mars' sound, it's doo-wop, pop and rock all combined. The lyrics are absolutely ridiculous, and they're clearly used to make the song rhyme. But if you've had a stressful day or you've had to overthink too much this song will help you clear your mind, stop thinking and just laugh.

5. "Acapella" Karmin

Real talk: this song is perfect for when you can't stand a certain human being anymore. Whether it's a boyfriend, best friend, girlfriend or the person in a group project who never does their work. The lyrics are savage, and they get Karmin's point acrossloud and clear.

6. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" The Tokens

This song is for emergency situations only. On a regular day, this song would quickly drive me off a cliff. But when you can't take any more of the real world the song that we all sang on repeat as two-and-three-year-olds is the perfect cure.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
