With summer semester having just started and fall semester right around the corner, now is the perfect time to scope out a new planner for the coming school year! The endless options can make this task pretty daunting, so here's a narrowed down list of five planners that are perfect for the year ahead!
Lilly Pulitzer
Lilly Pulitzer planners are a HUGE hit. Their bright covers live in the backpacks of an infinite number of high school and college students alike. These planners aren't just popular for their colorful exteriors though. The simplicity of the weekly page spread is what so many people love about Lilly Pulitzer planners. The size options are also a huge bonus. Four different size options, as well as a monthly planner option, ensure that there is a Lilly planner for everyone. The included elastic band also makes certain that the pages stay protected in a cluttered backpack or purse.
Kate Spade
For those who prefer classic patterns to bright florals, Kate Spade planners are a great option. They're the Lilly planner's classy older sister. They share the same great layout, size options, and handy elastic closure, but the Kate Spade planners are much more simplified. Their pages are mostly black and white and lack the extra flair that Lilly planners are known for. With cover designs that are classy and timeless, Kate Spade planners are a great option for those who have a job or an internship during the semester. They are also one of the more budget friendly planners, along with the Lilly planners, running about $35 each.
Day Designer
The Day Designer is perfect for the girl who is balancing classes, a sorority, a job, and a million extracurriculars. Instead of a weekly layout, it has a daily layout. Each page covers one day, with one half of the page dedicated to an hourly schedule and the other dedicated to a to-do list. Not for the faint of heart, these planners are made for someone who plans every aspect of their day down to the minute. They are one of the more expensive options at $59, but Target has recently released their own version of the Day Designer that is significantly less expensive.
Simplified Planner by Emily Ley
The popularity of the Simplified Planner has been on the rise in recent years thanks to its wide use in the blogosphere. With two layout options both based on the same design, the Simplified Planner is great for anyone who swears by having a to do list. There is the classic daily option that is similar to that of the Day Designer, and a new weekly option that shrinks the daily layout to fit a weekly spread. The company has also introduced a small line of accessories to coordinate with the planners that includes elastic bands, book marks, and mini notebooks.
Erin Condren
Erin Condren planners are by far the most customizable planners out there. Not only are there 50 cover designs, but the covers are able to personalized with an original color scheme or a name. These planners also offer the most options when it comes to the layout. Options include a horizontal layout similar to Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade planners, a vertical layout that divides each day into three sections, and an hourly layout. Like the Simplified Planner, Erin Condren has also created a line of accessories to complement their planners. It includes everything from clip-in dashboards, to pens, and everything in between. Erin Condren planners start at $50, but certain customizations add between $5 and $10 to the price.
A planner is a necessity in every students life, and any of these five make perfect options!!
