The Perfect Music For Every Mood
We Heart It

Music can be the perfect touch to any day. It can change your mood almost instantly. You can find the perfect music for any activity whether it involves studying, a deep cleaning spurge, an afternoon nap, relaxing time, or whatever your day consists of. Some of my personal favorites range from all genres of music. Music for me is important and I listen to it just about all the time. Here are some of my favorite songs that I recommend listening to.

Never Be Like You- Flume

This is the perfect song for almost everything. It is the perfect windows-down summertime song. This is one of the first songs I put on every time I get in the car. Flume is one of my all time favorite musicians because all his music is perfect for anything you do.

Juke Jam- Chance The Rapper

Juke Jam is literally the perfect "jam". It is great for long drives, relaxation times, and spending time with friends. Not to mention, Chance The Rapper has the most perfect voice!

Your Soul- Hippie Sabotage

Your Soul is just a fun song. It gives off a carefree vibe that causes you to want to listen to the song over and over again.

Fantasy- Alina Baraz & Galimatias

Fantasy is the best "chill" song. It is one of those songs that you can listen to a couple times and already know the words to it. It has a catchy tune that gets you hooked and you won't be able to get it out of your head.

Insane- Flume

Insane is your typical music festival song. It has been one of my favorite songs since the first time I heard it and every time I listen to it I love it even more.

With That- Young Thug

Young Thug is one of my friend group's favorite person to listen to, alongside Drake of course. However, out of all the Young Thug songs, this is probably the one we listen to the most, because no matter what mood you are in you can't help but get hype and start dancing when it comes on.

Say My Name- ODESZA

Say My Name is a great song in general. It has a catchy tune that brings a smile to your face every time it comes on because you can't just not enjoy it.

Don't Let Me Down- The Chainsmokers

Don't Let Me Down is another typical music festival song. The Chainsmokers always have great music, but this song in general is my favorite by them.

Love Yourz- J Cole

This specific album by J Cole is a couple years old, but the album will always be golden to me. This song is my specific favorite on the album because his lyrics tell an important message that others could learn to listen to.

Nikki- Logic

Nikki is also another song whose lyrics tell an important message. This was the first song I ever heard by Logic and it was at a time in my life that I needed to hear this song, so this song brings back nostalgic memories to me.

Gooey- Glass Animals

Gooey is my writing song. It is the first song I put on when I journal or blog because it helps me think and process what I want to write about.

Jackie and Wilson- Hozier

Jackie and Wilson is my favorite song by Hozier. It has the perfect tune and is an ideal afternoon nap or relaxing time song.

LA Confidential- Tory Lanez

I was not a big fan of Tory Lanez at first but this song really made me change my mind. It is different than your typical rap/hip-hop artist songs that are out right now.

Georgia- Vance Joy

Georgia is the "any occasion" song. You can never go wrong with Vance Joy. He has the voice of an angel and you can't help but love his music.

Let It Go- James Bay

Let It Go is always a good choice. James Bay is another person that has the voice of an angel and you can never go wrong with his music, especially not with Let It Go.

Worry- Jack Garratt

Worry was a song that I just happened to come across one day. I had never heard of Jack Garratt before and I loved this song so much that I started listening to more of his music.

Closing Time- Semisonic

This song is an oldie, but goodie. It is the perfect song to jam out to on a dark, summer-night drive home... I mean, that's what I do.

Harlem- Cathedrals

I absolutely love this song. It has a perfect beat and not to mention I love the album cover. This is another song that is great for just about any mood you might be in.

Too Good- Drake ft. Rihanna

To be completely honest, I hated this song the first two or three times that I heard it. Then I kept listening to it and learned the lyrics to it and now it is one of my favorites on Views. The song is completely different than the rest of the songs on the album so it put a bad taste in my mouth at first. The track also has Rihanna on it, and we all know Drake and Rihanna's music together is always good.

Pipe It Up- Migos

Pipe It Up describes my friend group perfectly. We are always dancing or getting overly excited about something that we have planned. Anytime we need a quick song to get going, we always put on Pipe It Up. If you are on the AUX, you can never ever go wrong with this song.

As you can tell, my interest in music has a wide variety. This is not all the music I listen to, but this is just some of my quick favorites that I feel others would like as well. Each of these songs fit every mood I have and I can shift from one type to another in a matter of minutes. Music is important because it allows you to express yourself in ways that you might not be able to do otherwise. Not to mention, it is a way that my friend group and I bond. We absolutely love music and we are always listening to it. If you don't already love music (it is honestly hard not to), then find an artist or a genre that you are interested in and just sit back, relax, and listen!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
