The Perfect Gifts for the Astrological Signs
Good Times

If you are anything like me, when you meet new people the first thing that comes to mind is "I wonder what their sign is?" I am a high believer in what zodiac signs can say about a person. I like to know what I am getting into beforehand. Christmas is near, so why not apply that same method to find the perfect gift for your loved ones! There isn't anything better than gifts and astrology. This can help you in your search for the perfect gift and you can learn something new about your loved ones!

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Aquarius love technology, humanitarian causes and humor. Gifts for this sign is kind of hard. They require you to think outside the book something out of the ordinary. A gift idea for an Aquarius, shockingly is clothes! They love to be stylish and in style. Pick up a piece of clothing that will fit your Aquarius personality but is in style. If you want to do a trip, the perfect trip would be a trip to the nearest art history museum!

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Pisces are dreamers and would love anything that will take them out of this world! That can be through music or art. A good gift would be concert tickets, and iPod or music from their favorite artists. Even a trip to the zoo or aquarium! Pisces also love to be taken cared of, so take them to the spa, nails salon or to get their hair done!

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries will love anything you get them! They love the idea of receiving a gift ! Aries will love anything that will allow them to be physical. Gift ideas would be something that has to do with their favorite sport. Like a glove, bat etc. Or something from their favorite athletic team. Another option would be clothing that are bright in color (like Leo).

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

By far the easiest sign to shop for in my opinion. Taurus LOVE food. The best gift for them would be a gift card to their favorite restaurant or to go out to that restaurant. Taurus also like to be comfortable, another gift idea would be something that provides comfort. That being a blanket, soothing tea, a cute jacket, make up, jewelry or comfy socks.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Gemini’s love learning and communicating. They love when they get to hang out and interact with the gift giver! Anything that allows them to express themselves and interact with others is a good gift. Good gift ideas can be a good book (Gemini's love to read!), a cool phone case, even a surprise trip (they are always down for a good adventure with fun people), they will love a gift card from their favorite store. Try to match your gift with their personality! If you still can’t decide a gift card is the best, it allows them to pick up what they want.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Cancers love comfy creative things. Things that relaxes them but is still cute and creative. Gift ideas would be a picture of you and them from a fun day, cozy blankets or slippers, candles, bath bombs jewelry (especially rings).

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Leo’s the might lion, loves to strut their stuff and show off. They love any gift that is over the top extravagant. Gift ideas are big flashy jewelry, colorful flash clothes and shoes (maybe a colorful scarf with matching gloves), spa day (they love to be pampered) or a fancy dinner.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

The best Virgo gift is something that fits their personality and things they like. They love to be organized so anything that allows them to do that, they will love! They will love a journal, a day planner, home decor (art, couch pillows, rugs etc.), mugs or a coffee maker. Virgo’s love animals so, treats and clothing or accessories for their animal will do!

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Libra’s love music and anything that is comforting. Just like Taurus! A good gift would be tickets to their favorite artists, a cute outfit (they love to be in style), chocolate, or a CD/Vinyl of their favorite artists. Libra’s love opening gifts so wrap them individually. My cousin loves watching her gifts pile up on Christmas.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Scorpios love to be mysterious and standout. They love dark colors not things that are bright. They will love gifts like an infinity scarf, a funny t-shirt, boots, sleek heels or dark pair of sunglasses. Any piece of clothing that is dark in color and unique will work. If you are still concerned like Gemini go for a gift cards. They will love picking out the things they want!

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Sagittarius love to travel and are always up for an adventure. They will love anything that allows them to learn and be active. Tap into that when looking for the perfect gift. Actually traveling can be expensive. Other travel ideas can be a book about different countries, a decoration piece from a foreign country, maps or travel guides. When it comes to books try to pick something that they are interested in and you can’t go wrong!

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Capricorns are similar to Cancer. They love comfy things a to be warm. Perfect gift would be a nice pair of slippers, a robe, a pair of comfy sweatpants, chunky scarves. Caps would love to do something they don’t get to do often. For girls maybe take them to go get their hair and nails done. Males take them shopping for clothes and shoes or let them mow the lawn.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
