Ever since Leslie Knope endorsed the importance of girl time and waffles, Galentine's Day has become an increasingly popular holiday. Because, honestly, who needs boys when you have plenty of crazy, weird, hilarious, beautiful girlfriends??? The answer is nobody.

I encourage everyone to take some time this year and throw a Galentine's Day party. It's so important to show your friends in life how much they mean to you, and this is the perfect opportunity! So, for all of your Galentine's Day needs, here are a few ideas to get the party started.

1. FLOWERS. EVERYWHERE.

Personally, I think that this is the most important part of any party. Place flower arrangements on the tables, on the counters, on flower crowns...basically everywhere that you can. My favorite thing to do is tie ribbon around a mason jar, add some little roses and babies' breath, and voilà! You have a picture-perfect arrangement.

2. Personalized place cards.

A personal touch is sure to WOW your girlfriends. Super simple, but super cute!!!

3. Photo Booth.

Yes, this is essential. Document your friends lookin' super fresh. Add a cute backdrop and props if you're feeling crafty!

4. Heart garland.

A heart-shaped garland is the perfect decoration to spice up your Galentine's Day. Not only do they serve as a festive touch, but they're extremely easy to DIY as well!

5. Balloons, duh!

Balloons are great, because after you're done admiring them, you can suck out all of the helium and talk like The Chipmunks.

6. Chalkboard signs.

Chalkboards can double as decorations and photo booth props! Make a sign with pretty handwriting, and your guests will love it.

7. FOOD!!! Lots of it.

This is where you should go absolutely crazy. Make heart-shaped EVERYTHING! There are tons of delicious recipes on Pinterest that are sure to inspire your chef side.

8. CHAMPAGNE!!! Lots of it.

Does this really need an explanation?

9. Eat tons and tons and tons of chocolate.

Because you deserve it.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
