I recently took a four-day trip to Florida which was amazing. I spent two days at Universal Studios and the other two days at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. While the trip was phenomenal and I was reminded how much I miss amusement parks as a 20-year old, I began to notice reoccurring characters at each theme park I visited. Here are the people I encountered.
1. The Obvious Tourist
You know exactly who I'm talking about. They walk leisurely across the amusement park with cameras around their necks, obnoxious floral shirts, and pointing out everything they come across. Everything's an adventure because, most likely, this is the first and probably the only time they will visit the park.
2. The Season Pass Holder
The season pass holder is basically a pro at what they're doing. They soar right by everyone in the FastPass line that they strategically planned out to optimize their amusement park experience. They also know all the good places to eat in the park where you get the most food for the cheapest. They're experts and you definitely know it.
3. The Teens Taking Insta Pictures
These people, usually teens, show up at the park in cute outfits, only go to the spots in the park known for photoshoots, take their pictures and leave. They pay for the ticket specifically to take pictures and maybe ride a ride or two. But who cares that they wasted $200 on a one-day pass to the park? Their Insta is going to blow up later!
4. The Parents Trying to Keep it Together
These poor parents are doing all they can to not yell at their kids in the middle of the park. No matter how much their kids yell, scream, or run in all different directions, they're putting on a brave face and reminding themselves 'It's for the kids, it's for the kids.'
5. The Cute Couple
Young or old, this couple buys matching Mickey ears and takes a ton of adorable pictures. They will also get a lot of Insta likes later.
6. The Wide-Eyed Little Kid
It's so much fun to go to a park like Disney and watch the reactions of little kids. Everything is so big and impressive and magical to them. It's adorable to watch them meet a princess or interact with a prince, too.
7. And Then There's You
When you hear you're going to Disney, you're ready to regress to a kid again. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!! WOOHOO!
