We the people are liberal, conservative, and everywhere in between.
We the people are republican, democrat, libertarian, and everywhere in between.
We the people must decide whether or not to accept our new president. We the people voted eagerly to elect our new president. We the people didn't vote at all.
We the people are different colors. We the people come from different countries. We the people are immigrants and indigenous.
We the people are the 1% living in mega mansions. We the people are living on reservations fighting for access to clean water. We the people are students struggling with student loan debt. We the people are mothers who want to show their daughters they can be anything they want to be, even president. We the people are union workers scared that our jobs will soon be unessecary. We the people are on welfare. We the people donate 10% of our income to overseas charities. We the people risk our lives in our country's name.
We the people are divided. We the people are united. We the people have the power to be stronger than hate.
We the people are whining liberals and deplorable conservatives. We the people are nasty women and bad hombres. We the people are the tea party who questioned where Obama was born.
We the people snuck past the border of Mexico. We the people waited years for a visa. We the people came legally. We the people came illegally. We the people came over on the Mayflower.
We the people don't give into fear. We the people walk together to make our voice be heard.
We the people have the power. We created a government for the people by the people to serve the people.
We the people were born in revolution and riots. We were raised during peaceful protests and demonstrations of solidarity. We continue to grow. We continue to hold hands and chant for our beliefs. Because the one thing that unites us all is America. We all want what's best for our country, what's best for us. We just have different ideas of what that means.
So as you post, as you retweet, as you protest, as you snapchat, as you judge... remember we're all standing on the same Earth. We're all in the same country. And we all want the same thing. We all want what's best, we just don't always agree on what 'best' means.
