Looking much, much younger than you are in reality can be incredibly annoying. There are several cons to it — however, there are some pros, as well. Here's to both the pros and cons of appearing to be 12 years old when you're really a full-grown adult.
Constantly getting ID'd
It's inevitable that you're going to be ID'd at any given moment. It becomes second nature eventually.
Being able to get discounts at restaurants and events for kids
You can totally take advantage of this! Those 12-and-under discounts and menus? Score!
People actually treat you like a child
When people start using terms of endearment and constantly mention how "small" and "young" you appear, it gets quite annoying.
When you're older, you'll still look pretty young
It may suck right now, while you're in your twenties, to look so young. But it'll be awesome once you're older and you look like you're 20.
Strangers mistake you for your friend's "younger sibling"
When you're out with your pals for the night, the last thing you want to deal with is people believing you're actually your best friend's little brother or sister.
You can be immature without judgment from strangers
This is the absolute best! You can be as wild and quirky as you'd like, and you won't receive (as many) death glares from the people around you.
Having to deal with people being surprised when you tell them that you're not 12
If you had a dollar for every time somebody said "Wait, really?" once you reveal you're not 12 years old, you'd be filthy rich by now.
Being able to shop in the kids department
Since you're likely shorter than the average young adult, you can save big bucks here. Adult shoes and clothes are so much more expensive than kids'. Take advantage of this while you can.
