Let's face it, we all have a soft spot for Disney movies and always will. How can we not? Most of these animated movies provide more of an emotionally meaningful message than adult movies do these days. Even if the songs are originally intended to keep children's attention, they contain deep meanings and are extremely catchy. Most of the time, the villains of these Disney movies have the best songs!

We can all admit that we even have a soft spot for Disney villains. With the better songs and rich backgrounds, it is hard not to relate to some of them or recognize their troubled history. Even so, some of them are just laughable in their personalities, just like some of the people we've met in college. Here's a list of the type of people you'll meet in college as told by Disney villains.

Scar -The Lion King

"Scar" is the guy who is super smart and knows it. Included with his GPA being over a 3.5, he is street smart and knows how to get people to do what he wants. He takes extreme pride is his intelligence and cunning and holds it over people. He knows he's going far in life, and has no problem telling you that your major is useless and you have no future. Super smart, super douchey.

Mother Gothel -Tangled

"Mother Gothel" is that girl or guy who is overly conceited in their looks and uses it to their advantage. In this sense, beauty is brains, and it's all they have. They are extremely selfish in that they assume they deserve everything that they desire, and usually use their appearance to get what they want.

Captain Hook - Peter Pan

"Captain Hook" is that type of guy who still has a grudge against a kid who threw their crutches at him in third grade. He's the cute kind of dorky and does not like change, which is why he wears the same sweatshirt every day from his freshman year of high school. This is the type who is most likely from the mid western suburbs; no body of water around and no creatures to be lurking in it.

Hans - Frozen

Ah yes, "Hans". Hans is the frat guy that everybody adores throughout campus. He's very active in his fraternity, decent in academics, and a solid community man. On the outside he's great; it's the puppy dog eyes that get everybody. It's just how he acts towards women that really ruins the whole look. He is used to being handed everything on a silver platter, so that is what he expects from women too. This is usually the type to perform a sexual hit and run. However, this type of boy can grow out of his entitled ways, and usually turns out to be a great guy, if he doesn't try and take over the throne (fraternity) first.

Te Kā -Moana

"Te Kā" is that girl who is always cranky. She has 8 am's every morning, Monday through Thursday, so she always needs her nap before she can do anything else during the day. If she has not had her nap or her coffee before noon, you might just want to leave her alone. The only thing that will ensue is the fiery rage of a caffeinated, sleepless, and probably hungry woman.

Bellwether -Zootopia

Shere Khan -The Jungle Book

"Shere Khan" is the student-athlete who never stops grinding. No breaks, no mercy, and no GPA standards either, apparently. His mom is the most important person in his life, and his social media is infected with emojis and empty promises that his work ethic is better than yours (it's not). Somehow he always manages to make everything about him. Example:

You: haha so yeah I broke my arm

Shere Khan: 🅱reak⁉ What is that? 😤👏 I GRIND 💯 24/8 ✂😈 no 👎 MERCY 👊 gotta maintain 👀👅 that 1.7 ☝ GPA 👄💦 I do it all for mom 👩 RIP ❤ Amazon 4:20 🌴

Who knew that when Disney came out with these children's movies, they'd be preparing us for college and all the people we'd meet? I certainly didn't, but I am more than happy that I can still watch these movies and take away something from them. Aside from the different humorous personality types that these characters demonstrate, these classic and modern Disney movies will never grow old. Hopefully, even when we are old, we will still be able to go back to these movies and find enjoyment.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
