To Those People Who Make You Feel You Aren't Good Enough

You are good enough. You are capable of success and achieving everything you dreamed of, even if others sometimes make you feel like you aren't.

Those who make you feel unworthy and like you are less than them don't deserve your friendship. Those who bring you down with hateful comments and negativity don't deserve to bask in your success with you. These people don't see your worth; but believe me it's there.

We've all been there. We've all fallen into hopeless despairs and felt like everything we do is wrong and that we just aren't good enough. We compare ourselves to others and their success. Why is this person so much smarter than me? Why is this person so much more outgoing?

We've all had moments of not fitting in and fearing we won't ever find happiness; but you will. Life is a journey full of things to learn, about the world and about you yourself. In time you will find those friends who make you feel accepted and who see your potential. You will find friends who support your aspirations and cheer you on every step of the way. You will find friends who better you rather than bring you down and who make you feel nothing but loved. You will find friends that are worthy of being your friends. Never let them go.

In time you will find success. You will realize that other people may be smarter than you, but they're not as creative. Stay ambitious and continue to work hard and you will find all of the success you desire, and all of those who doubted you and didn't think you were good enough, whether it be that girl who always gave you a hard time, or that boy who didn't see how great you were, will see you're more than they thought, because you are and you should know it.

No one knows you quite as well as you do. No one knows your capabilities, your strengths and your weaknesses. You might not even know this about yourself. Each and every person has strengths and weaknesses. Learn to use yours to your advantage, in ways other people can't. Every person is different, but every person is still good enough. Never let anyone make you feel like you aren't. If people can't see how wonderful you truly are, let them go because someone else will.

You are good enough.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
