We all have a favorite.

Penn State's Best Late Night Munchies: Ranked

It's 12:30 a.m. and you have the munchies, whether it's from a night out or from the all-nighter you have just started to pull. Luckily for you, State College is home to a plethora of late night eateries willing to serve you no matter what state you are in. However, not all late night foods are created equally. Here are the best ones ranked:

8. Insomnia

Usually after a night out, most crave something savory. But if you want something sweet, Insomnia is the place for you.

7. McDonald's

McDonald's is fast, but while it is good, it is definitely not good for you. There is nothing worse than waking up to your leftover McDonald's.

6. DP Dough

DP Dough is overrated. It is just too much.

5. Are U Hungry

Their munchie menu is very underrated, with mac and cheese bites and wings. There is something for everyone here.

4. Canyon

Their one dollar slices are a classic Penn State staple. Very effective for those who are on a limited budget. The only downside is the long lines on the weekend.

3. Wings Over

Wings Over wings and waffle fries go together seamlessly with a variety of sauces and seasonings, the only downside is that wings can kind of get messy especially if you have been drinking.

2. College Pizza

Though not as cost effective as Canyon (the slices are a $1.25), the extra quarter goes the extra mile when it comes to flavor. Their tomato pesto pizza is one that cannot be missed.

1. Gumby's

The grand daddy of them all. Nothing like the perfect mixture of cheese and spices tossed on a bread. There is no wrong when it comes to Gumby's pokey stix. They always will be number one. Special bonus if you have any leftover the next day.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.
