An Open Letter To Penn State's Class Of 2021

Many Penn State seniors just like me are struggling as we enter our senior year but not like we had hoped. This is to you all. Stay strong, we will overcome and come out strong.

An Open Letter To Penn State's Class Of 2021

Dear Penn State's Class of 2021,

College as we all knew it, will never be the same for us. Going into our senior year we were looking forward to but also yet dreading all of our lasts that we are about to experience.

We were looking forward to buying our senior season of football tickets, waking up early that morning in June, and logging on to TicketMaster, anxiously waiting in the queue as we waited to secure our last season of tickets to the happiness we call Penn State Football.

We look forward to our last time moving into our school apartments with our college friends. A time where life as we know it, simple, easy, and fun is coming closer to an end.

We look forward to getting back on the CATA buses to go to and from and around campus. Even though they may cause us a LOT of frustration, Penn State wouldn't be the same without them.

We look forward to Penn State sports in general. Going to our last White Out, Homecoming, and Stripe Out. Buying hockey and basketball tickets as this is what drove many of us to Happy Valley in the first place.

We look forward to THON as we raise money all year For The Kids. We prepare for the amazing THON weekend as we dance for 46 hours for something more than ourselves.

We look forward to all the party celebrations we are finally old enough to go to the bars for like Halloween, State Patty's, Saint Patrick's Day, New Year's Eve, and the Super Bowl.

Overall, we were supposed to experience so many last already. But little did we know some of these we won't be able to experience at all. Others, we will just experience is different ways than we had originally planned.

But we can't let it stop us from having amazing senior year. We are the senior class of 2021, we will still manage to make the best of this uncertain time we are in.

We will cheer on our Nittany Lions from home and survive mostly online classes. The next year won't be easy, but we need to show Penn State that no matter what, WE ARE the making the best out of our senior year because WE ARE Penn State's Class of 2021. Our future is bright and we will stay positive through this time.

Sincerely,

A fellow senior

To those who celebrate, you just spent an entire day cooking an elaborate meal with all of your favorite foods. You probably ate your body weight in pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes. What happens now? Oh yea, Christmas. It’s time to take out all of the decorations and Christmas themed things that have been sitting in the attic since last year; it’s time to make a reappearance. So, here are 10 things that happen the second Thanksgiving is over.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

The holiday season is full of stress, debt, and forced conversation. While we rush through the month of December, it's important to take a step back and enjoy the moments before they're gone. Most families love to watch Christmas movies, but these beloved films provide more than entertainment. Here are 10 life lessons that I've learned from the holiday classics we watch every year.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.
