It's beautiful to have friends from different ethnic groups, and I'm glad I have a foreign friend who I can learn a lot from.

We're constantly surrounded by people from different ethnicities but not everyone has a foreign friend.

I had the privilege to meet a friend from Thai, and ever since then, we've stayed in contact.

I'm so fascinated by different cultures and the language that it has made my love for traveling grow even more. I want to make friends from all over the world and be able to learn not just the culture and their ways of doing things, but the food and their language as well!

In the same way, I was able to go to China this summer and make new friends. I was able to interact with them and be able to ask questions about themselves. It was such an amazing experience!!

This is my Thai friend. (: Her name is Palita.

She's 20 years old, LOVES chocolate. Her favorite Thai food is Pad Ka-Prao,

She loves listening to kpop (like me), and she loves to write fiction. She wants to learn Spanish and she HATES fish. She used to go to highschool with me, but sadly moved away. We still keep in touch and I'm excited for next summer. We will be taking a trip to her hometown in Thai! I can't wait to meet people from there and learn more about it. I'm really glad I met her because I've always wanted a foreign friend. I honestly don't even remember how we met, but I do know it was sophomore year. I remember every lunch period she would bring pocky sticks and give the group some. I fell in love with pocky!! That reminds me about my trip to China. I was able to try a whole mess of delicious food there, but two of my favorite dishes were these:

Scallion Pancake

Spicy and Sour Potato

The first dish (these are side dishes btw) reminded me of a quesadilla when I was there. It tasted nothing like a quesadilla though. The second side dish is basically shredded potato, with a mild spice to it. This side dish was in every meal I had in China, along with rice, and hot water or tea. I fell in love with the place, but I did miss home at some point. I'm excited about my trip next summer with my friend, and I can't wait to visit her hometown. I'm glad I met her because now I can learn about a new country and learn more about her as well. I'm glad I met my foreign friend and I hope to make many memories with her and travel together.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
