Peas In A Pod: Thank You To My Best Friends
Ally Rosenfeld

To my dearest of friends, thank you. From the day I met you guys I was hesitant to jump into a friendship. Just like a relationship, I took caution as to the fact that college was a whole new ballpark, and I wasn't quite ready to play the game. Although, this wasn't anything less than a blessing. In fact, this was a miracle. I took the risk, and I ended up with the most amazing and inspirational friends a girl could ever ask for not only to last the duration of her college years, but also for the rest of her life. So, here is a list of thank you's I just feel the need to put out there.

1. Thank you letting me vent to you about all the struggles I face.

You listen with open ears and an open mind. Even if the venting goes on for countless hours, you guys are there to listen. We exchange ideas, thoughts and comments back and forth in regard to whatever is apparent within the situation. And as a result of that, I have been granted some of the best feedback I have ever received and truly needed.

2. Thank you for not judging me in regard to my imperfection and flaws.

Instead, you embrace them and try to help me through them or find new ways to strategize to make myself an even stronger individual.

3. Thank you for staying up with me on the phone until 3 a.m. wherever, whenever.

Even if the conversations are about some of the silliest things, you guys are always there for me within a split second.

4. Thank you for going out with me and having a blast!

I truly do love the fact that wherever we go, whether we are clubbing, going to parties or even just hanging out in one of our rooms eating Dominos pizza at 1 a.m. and watching a chick flick, we are able to make the most out of it. Without you guys, I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun as I've had so far.

5. Thank you for being there for me through thick and thin.

Just like anyone else, we do occasionally, actually quite rarely, have our differences. Although, we are able to sit down like the mature adults we are, talk them through and move on from there. That's what makes our bond so very strong.

6. Thank you for the endless laughs and the greatest inside jokes.

Seriously though, I'm not kidding. Some people just wouldn't understand the things we say and the authentic meaning behind them. They make us tumble over onto our stomachs laughing until we feel we can't laugh anymore. Although, somehow we continue to laugh. But you know what they say, the more you laugh, the longer you live!

7. Thank you for being my fans.

As singer Omi states in his song, "Oh I think that I found myself a cheerleader, she is always right there when I need her." You guys really are always there for me. Whether we are celebrating academic achievements, sorority events, finally meeting the right guy or even the smallest of things like changing my hair color, you guys are my biggest fans. You support me with the strengths that I have, and the decisions I decide to make. It is a true blessing to have a support system behind you. It really does boost your confidence so much.

8. Thank you for being honest and direct with me when needed.

In life, as humans, we all make mistakes. And, well, sometimes when we may not recognize them ourselves instantly, we need people to point them out to us so we can improve ourselves from there on out. Thank you guys for being stern with me and not sugar coating every single word just to make me feel content. Sometimes I need the honesty so I can come to the realization of what had happened, and how I can change things from there on out merely to better myself and my life.

9. Thank you for making time within your busy schedules to come see me.

If we aren't at school doing our work, we are most likely working throughout the week during the summer time. The weekend is a time to decompress from the week for most. Thank you guys for the endless trips to come visit and letting me visit you. Whether we go to the city, lake houses, country clubs or even just each other's backyards, it means the world to me that I can see my friends when we are apart more than I would have thought we would have been able to this summer.

10. Thank you for giving me the best relationship advice.

If you know me, then you know advice is needed and I am willing to take it when given! Thank you guys so much for helping me figure out who I should and shouldn't pursue, what guys I would be compatible with, and when to approach. You guys have used not only your experience from your past relationships, but also mine to direct and steer me toward ultimate happiness, love and success. You have my best interest in mind, and I genuinely have yours, too.

11. Thank you for being you.

Well, I could go on with a longer list than just 11 aspects, but if I were to do that, I would run out of such amazing words. You have been the most genuine, loving, loyal, funny, gorgeous and intelligent friends. You have such fantastic qualities that I not only would like myself to pick up on, but also to spread along to others. You are amazing ladies and I am so blessed to call you the best.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
