Everyone has their reasons for their favorite Holiday and I'm here to share mine with all of you!

1. Holiday Cheer

I love the spirit Christmas brings this time of year. With all of the cold, wet snow that turns into cold, wetter slush, the happiness that this Holiday brings around is very welcome

2. UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS

If you don't get excited to wear and see all the beautifully ugly Christmas sweaters when December comes around then please jump on this train to greatness. Ugly sweaters are the Halloween costumes of Christmas and are a requirement for the entire month of December (and possibly the New Year!).

3. Hot Cocoa

Okay this one is a given. What is Christmas without it's hot chocolate? And if you live in the Northwest corner of Indiana, it gives you life in the dead of winter. (Life Tip: Stir with a candy cane and add marsh mellows... You're welcome.)

4. Christmas Movie

Who doesn't love a good Christmas movie? Netflix's holiday selection and the Freeform's "25 Days of Christmas" are a blessing during December. From "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" or my personal favorite, "The Santa Claus" movies or the classic "Elf,"there's a little something from everyone in the family.

5. Christmas Cooking

From the big dinner on Christmas day, to all the homemade cookies grandma makes each year, Christmas brings some great food for days of enjoyment. I look forward to mashed potatoes each year, followed by a plate full (or two) of Christmas desserts. It's like Thanksgiving, with the added red and green decorations with colorful ornaments every where.

6. Christmas Parties

If you're lucky, you'll be invited to a few different Christmas parties that will include some of the following points, such as ugly sweaters and great cooking. I get super excited each year for my annual family Christmas parties with grandma's homemade cookies, goody bags for all the children, and my many, many family members. It's always a great time with the people I love the most. Spending times with the ones you love definitely makes all of the cold weather and snow worth it. Source

7. PRESSSEEEENTSSSS

Whether you're getting them or receiving them, Christmas presents are a wonderful part of the Christmas festivities. I love looking for and buying the perfect present for the ones I love, imagining the look on their face when they get it and how happy they'll be with it. I also love Secret Santa exchanges, and trying your best to figure out who everyone has in the group.

8. Christmas Music

Last, but definitely not least, Christmas time brings, well, Christmas music. I have 93.1 saved into my radio dash for specifically this time of the year. You doesn't love to start rock'en around the Christmas tree at Thanksgiving, because I sure do!

With Christmas around the corner, it is time to be thankful for all of the wonderful things this month brings to us for the Holidays. Through all the snow and cold weather, all of the cheerful things Christmas brings is worth all of the drudging weather.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
